[synopsis] => In this Psychopathy book, we will discuss some of the exact neuroscience in the brain that is responsible for the poor behavioral controls prominent in a manipulative psychopath who hurts people for his or her own gain. Due to these damaged or under-developed parts of the brain, we can see why psychopaths often cannot change their brain pathology and behavior to match their peers. The psychopathic individual often does not have the learning and memorization capacity to learn much in the way of social expectations. He or she may lean on a physical hands-on occupation rather than anything academic or intellectual. This book will discuss the 4 subtypes of psychopathy, including which one is the most dangerous type. We will discuss an alternative 9 subtypes described by Theodore Millon. We will seek to differentiate several disorders which mimic psychopathy from the actual disorder called psychopathy. We will show you which parts of the brain are responsible for causing the distinct personality traits which are found in psychopathy. each of these subtypes: narcissistic, borderline, sadistic and antisocial. We see that the psychopath typically solves problems by doing versus thinking of acceptable ways of doing. He or she is often deficient in the overall executive functioning skill of planning, thus does things largely 'in the moment'. The psychopath often makes decisions and choices without much regard for the overall consequences of his or her own actions. We will discuss why some people who have psychopathy turn violent and criminal, whereas others may become owners of a lucrative family business and lead a rather normal life. We will talk about the traits displayed in young children who may be later diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder or psychopathy, as children cannot be given the Psychopath Checklist created by Hare. Professionals are often hesitant to label a child a psychopath due to the social stigma and bullying that a psychopathic child would suffer from his or her peers.
