In "Meet the Barkers- Morgan and Moffat go to school," Bossy Moffie and her quiet twin brother Morgie both enjoy starting school, especially getting gold stars and making new friends; in "100th day worries," Jessica worries about collecting 100 objects to take to class for the 100th day of school; in "Trouble in the Barkers' class," when a new girl in the Barkers' class, Carole Anne, acts like a bully, the students try talking to her and ignoring her until Morgie finally discovers what is wrong and finds a way to fix it. In "Beverly Billingsly borrows a book," Beverly is thrilled to finally check out a book with her own library card, but when whe accidentally keeps the book too long she worries that she'll have to pay a huge fine or go to jail.
