War of the worlds: The residents of a small town are intrigued when a flaming meteor lands in the hills. But, they soon find Martians intend an assault on the Earth, with hundreds of invulnerable ships. The invasion takes place all over the world, all the major cities are destroyed one after one, and even the atomic bomb can't stop them.

When worlds collide: When scientists discover a distant planet is on a catastrophic collision course with Earth, the government refuses to believe the evidence. It's now up to private citizens to finance and build a spaceship to carry a limited number of people and animals to another planet to begin a new civilization. Deciding who gets to live or die during the impending destruction of the world brings out the best and worst in people.
