Description
The story of an impoverished Mexican pearl diver whose life is changed forever when he discovers "the pearl of the world." Confident that the gem will bring him wealth and respect, Kino seeks a better life for himself and his community. However, despite his best intentions, the peasant is soon engulfed by greed, envy and betrayal as many suitors strive to get their hands on the pearl.
