Description
Biography of Dane Gray Hansen (1883-1965, a notable businessman " ... [who] remained a confirmed bachelor ... his assets were appraised at almost $9 million, the bulk of which he willed to a charitable foundation--with the expressed wish that the earnings be used to benefit Logan and northwest Kansas." His father, Peter Hansen (1846-1925), was a Danish immigrant to Oshkosh, Wisconsin between 1864 and 1867, who moved to northwest Kansas in 1870/1872 and married Alpha Ama Gray in 1878.
